On the U.S. side alone there is gonna be an AC-130, scout heli, 2 strykers, and 1 MBT. It is probably a safe bet that there are even more vehicles just on the U.S. side alone that we didn't see pictures of.

Only two gunner seats in the AC-130... so that's what that aircraft icon beside one of the cap-able bases is... its a control station to access the gunner seats in the ac-130... that is full of suck. Screw that.

So we were right to guess that the new game mode Gun Master is a one kill and switch to the next gun type. I am exited.

I'm in love with Bandar Desert right now and Gun Master actually looks pretty cool!

It's good to see another incarnation of "Gun Game" staying in FPS games.
My Fav was in Day of Defeat for HL/HL2.

Looks FAR more visually appealing than the Vanilla game. I guess they learned that people hate the blue

After giving 4 hrs. between tries to play the CQ maps, I'm still not able to.... (yes, I am on ps3)

It doesn't have only 2 seats. It's clearly a M1 Abrams on the C-130 (well, I think).

I can't see any aircraft icon besides the one on the minmap.

I they put the AC-130 on the largest map, why wouldn't it be drivable? The way it looks with the RU base up that little valley, I think it could work to take off.

I'm reminded a little bit of Oasis with this map. I'ts just the palm trees and desert setting. Lets hope it has an equally epic rush layout.

G objective on left side of screenshot. Go to link to see it full size and you can tell its neutral and has an aircraft silhouette, which resembles the AC-130. That will be the base where the AC-130 gunship control center is.



There you can see the icon in the mini map and its orientation is not locked to head on. All other piloted aircraft have a locked follow orientation on the mini map. This thing is probably as people have guessed, like the air raid in 1943. You will access a control room for two players to run gunner duty while the thing circles the map on rails for a specified amount of time before having to "RTB". Probably will be a pretty long cool down time before the next use. There is an issue as to how and what shoots it down... will it have user deployed countermeasures? Is the stupid M1 Abrams cannon reticle just a placeholder for an authentic Spectre reticle? I hope so.

The point is, DICE has a history with these types of mechanics a la air raid in 1943 and UAV in BC2.

Me? Give me a C-130 Hercules and let me drop my squad of armor off over the entire battlefield, screw a stinking AC-130 gunship.
