Pc I'm sure... Us console players still don't have private servers. If they implement this while ignoring that I will be flabergasted!

I hope not PC only. This is major for me. Recording off of a PS3 is a pain in the ass.

it's hard to force every one to fraps all their games and that is where battlerecorder and spectator mode will come in handy.

nice spectator mode, so we can watch who the best player

with spectator muna find all the dinosaurs on wake island with out being killed, esplore the beautiful landscapes of BF3 and finally be able to record cool footage on console, hopefully it will be for consoles because they need it the most, you can't get Frapps on xbox.

the previous time I found a cheater on my server, I had to quit the game, start Fraps, Re-enter into the same server, and finally I was able to record a proof video. So if Bf3 will implement this feature it will be more quick to clean BF3 from cheater. And with the Spectator mod more easy too

BattleRecorder would certainly be a great add on to bf3 not only for the esports community but for the rest as well, however I think that BatttleRecorder wasnt the most needed feature the game needed at this point, I think that Dice shouldve focused in polishing the game very well right now and then bring on BR. however I might be wrong and Dice might bring lots of updates to the game with BR included!! also BR would help catch the cheaters and make it a lot easier on us to get rid of them.!!

Battlerecorder would indeed be nice! But I think that eSports, cups, ladders and others would like to have specator mod more. Me myself I'm looking forward to de recorder function, and all the new movies and films that will be created with them.

The most requested feature for me is ingame / squad based VoIP
On console the have VoIP, thy fixed it. So way do we PC players are left in the cold?

Fraps is only good for video's from your own perspective, Think about this, Imagine we have battlerecorder, You've just had an EPIC game and had used fraps to capture your moment, Let's say for this example you have 27GB of footage from that one particular match, Now imagine that on loading the map you type into the console "demo.record" and it records the entire match, Every players movement, Every single event ingame even if you are nowhere near the action, then the game ends and you type "demo.stop"

Later you decide you want to make a montage.. but hey.. you have 27GB of footage to sift through.. quite a daunting task, Do you agree?

Now let's say you launch the recording that was initiated through battlerecorder, You notice you can go from first person to third person, Or perhaps you want a cinematic angle which pans left or right from the side as you run through a train spraying 20 soldiers with your AK.. You add slow motion, Or fading effects or whatever, and then can export that file as an AVI or MP4 in full 1080p.. Wouldn't that be epic?

Plus it helps in catching aimbotters too

For the love of god, if this is true, there better be a rewind function.

hope private matches come along with the battlecorder....i mean they go hand and hand dont they???
