Battlefield 4 possibly revealed at Sony's annual PS meeting

    Fellow Battlefield fans, you might want to buckle up for this one, as Battlefield 4 is now officially a subject of conversation of EA and DICE. Please keep in mind that the following is based purely on speculation and educated guesses.

    Not too long ago the CEO of the videogame retail giant GameStop posted this tweet on his company's official Twitter account;

    | Got to see Battlefield 4 today and all I can say is WOW! Thanks @EA for this sneak peek. Can't wait for you all to see it. ^CEO#BF4

    The thing that is suspicious about this tweet, is that it is posted on the day that Sony is scheduled to officially premiere their long-awaited Playstation 4. To add fuel to the fire, DICE General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson tweeted the following message;

    | Busy 6 days on the road all over the US, making some noise, making some moves!

    To finish it all with a cherry on top of the pie, the following image below was posted in the Battlefield thread over at the FacePunch Forums, which is obviously indicating the countdown to Sony's PS Meeting which is set to start at 6 PM E.T.

    Update: Sadly, the countdown image below is revealed to be nothing more than fan art, created by a NeoGAF user.

    The picture doesn't leave much for your imagination to guess, and strongly hints towards what we are all currently thinking. This news is yet to be confirmed by EA or DICE, but knowing EA and the way they promote their game franchises and the hints that we've received via Twitter plus this picture regarding the countdown to Sony's annual PS Meeting, the odds are likely that EA will reveal Battlefield 4 to the rest of us at the annual Sony PS Meeting.

    I hope this is true. I am very excited to see what BF4 will look like on next gen consoles. We shall see.

    I'd like to know where it was this picture came from, where it was found. I'm thinking along the lines that it was simply made up.
    I see VG247 removed the story they ran, but I hope I'm wrong and it is shown tonight.

    This is some fantastic findings, I mean lets be honest, why would they hype it up now, and not reveal a little bit of it at PlayStation's expo, they were the top paying company that bought 2 weeks of exclusive gametime for Battlefield, I think a reveal is happening. And EA's label president did say that a reveal was happening in the next 3 months(this was like 2 months ago maybe 3) so why not now? I WANT BF4 INFO.

    He didn't say "in the next 3 months". Presidents don't give time frames like that. He said "in about 90 days". So we may be a big premature here. Don't board the hype train yet. It's going to be a long wait if you stare at the clock :)

    Guys, you know us... We always try to post information that is informative and not baseless. If I though this wasn't a real possibility, Pancake wouldn't have posted it up. With that said, we dont try to start rumor mills here, or drive traffic to our site with bullshit articles and rumors. However, there could be something thats happening today and would you rather be informed, and watching and prepared? or not at all? Hope that puts things into perspective, we're going to continue to do what we do how we do it because that's whats gotten us this far as a community and as a site. What credibility we have has been established on the fact that when we dont know something 100%, we at least disclaimer that for you and not pretend to know things are fact when they really aren't.

    The truth here is, we don't know... but its possible and that is all we're trying to say. Sometimes writing articles like this can be "Damn if you Do, Damn if you don't" but at least try to respect the fact that we're open about non-solid information and not volatile with it like most gaming sites.
