We managed to get our hands on the first game play footage of the newly announced DLC, "Close Quarters". While the footage is off screen capture from the press event last night, it still shows you what we can expect from this DLC and that's just as the name is, tight infantry combat. We'll keep you posted as we find more game play.

Thanks to GiGaB@yt for the heads up!

Am I the only one who don't want that to be Battlefield?

Edit: Don't buy it? Really? There is NOTHING new in BF3 since last Nov/Dec.! Anything that is new will be good but seriously, this map looks like Crysis 2 + CoD!
  2. Linefly11
Yeah. Really. If you don't want CQ maps, then don't buy CQ maps.

Ok. I'll buy it anyway 'cause "new is always better":p

thats a stupid comment. People are waiting for new content so if we dont like it we will complain because we dont want to wait til fall for the next round. Its not as simple as dont buy it. There needs to be new maps and if the new ones are all like what was shown in that video its going to be sad and i will not buy it, which means i wont play BF3 as much anymore until the fall. Most hardcore BF players will be pissed if its this small, i am not impressed one bit

you could say if you dont like it dont buy it if they gave you another alternative but there isnt a map pack for large ones and small ones its just one map pack. So if you dont like it your screwed and id imagine most BF players wont

I would consider myself at least on the verge of being a hardcore BF player, and I will still buy the DLC and probably still enjoy it. If you don't, then I am sorry that you have to wait a couple more months. I respect everyone's opinons, but it seems some people complain just because they can.

    The game is called Battlefield.
    bat·tle·field/ˈbatlˌfēld/

Noun: 1. The piece of ground on which a battle is or was fought.
    2. A place or situation of strife or conflict.
Based on this definition I think that all of these map packs are qualified to be a part of the Battlefield game. Happy gaming!

how is it complaining because i can??? Its like every time someone doesnt like something they are just ungrateful and they are just whiners? Thats basically saying no matter what they come up with you cant complain about it, if the world was like that they would never improve anything.

People want NEW content and if it isnt anything close to what they like they are stuck waiting maybe 6-8 months for the next one so its not just oh itll come out right after its a long time.

How long have people been saying they want BF3 more battlefield-y? It's apparent that money speaks louder than words with big companies. If you don't like the looks of this map pack; don't buy it. Problem solved. Wait for the armor maps. If you don't think you'll like that one; don't buy it. If you don't like waiting; don't buy it. Simple.

This doenst look anything near BF.....this is pure Call of Duty.

I DONT LIKE IT AT ALL

And yes it even bad for me though I wont buy it since:

BF develops further to a Call of Bullshit shooter

And a DLC which could bring back old battlefield feelings will take longer to arrive.

And: If we look at why the first DLC will be a CQ map - it seems its because metro gets played so often....

Now - if there are more CQ maps -more plp will be paying close quarter - which may lead DICE to think that the community wants EVEN MORE CQ!

I for my part am really disgusted by the development...

And even though I allways was the one defending DICEs decisions - I now am one step more in the direction of leaving the game.......

May I add that change is inevitable; BF3 is not BF2 and BF4 won't be BF3. Try to remain open-minded to new ideas. Personally, I liked Crysis2 multiplayer and I love BF3, so I'll probably like this DLC. And there's my own server and BFO servers to edit settings to not allow for shitty RPG/M320/USAS spammers. MY HOUSE MY RULES. I'm pretty excited.

Easily skip-able the first one. I'm pretty sure I'll get the second. Now let's hope for one-two good patches with actual fixes, not just adjustments, until June.

are you guys serious!!! You guys complain cause there is no DLC announced then when it is announced you guys still complain. Get over yourselves! Bunch of tards!! I am excited about the new DLC and really think that Ziba Tower map looks awesome.

The clue is in the title with this game - BATTLEFIELD. Yes change is good but this is like turning Formula one into a ride on the tea cups at the fairground.
