You must be taking medicinal marijuana for your glaucoma because not only you are blind, you are high.

that's why I told you to stfu because you don't know what was the core principles of BATTLEFIELD all about, I Have a thousand of hours in BF2 & 2142, The removal of commanders,VOIP, reduction in squad sizes, lack of transports, and poor map design all contribute to the reduction of teamwork in BF3. The commander back in BF2 and BF2142 gave a sense of direction and guided the game. The bigger squad sizes also reduced squad fragmentation and focused power into fewer squads. Now you have more squads running around with the ability to spawn on any squad member, and no commander to guide them. The game loses focus as it becomes a situation of musical chairs with flags. Flags are essentially being swapped instead of being fought over, because even within the squad, often guys are split up all over the place, So it ends up being that you neutralize a flag alone, kill 1 or 2 guys, then the flag is yours. This happened way less in BF2 and BF2142...

I have a right to whine because I bought/payed the game and expecting "true sequel of BF2" as patrick bach said last year and he lied from the community.

OT:look what happened to bioware under EA..just my two cents..

Stay on topic and no personal insults!

    And keep it civil!

    100% agree on the above.

Not only do I hate Bach, I despise him. Hyping his product with lies in the beginning and then avoid the community AT ALL COST. Has he ever spoken directly to anyone from the community? I don't think so.

I'd give him a piece of my mind if I ever spoke to him.

You should be ashamed for believing the lies you fed yourselves. I knew back in July what BF3 was gong to be and no one would believe it. DICE said what it was going to be like.

Been playing since 1942 and I can say that lack of commander, 6 man squad, voip, etc. hasnt affected teamwork in BF3 compared to any other Battlefield I played.

Buddy, if i were taking medicinal Marijuana, it would be for my damn crohns disease. Blind? Perhaps without my glasses on ;)

Careful, you're trying to refute something that's been proven by facts i.e. quotes/interviews by DICE themselves.

I'll give you one example to chew on: "In BF3 squad leaders will be able to call in airstrikes!"

"Been playing since 1942 and I can say that lack of commander, 6 man squad, voip, etc. hasnt affected teamwork in BF3 compared to any other Battlefield I played."

Clearly something wrong in your head. Tell me VOIP isn't important, just like squad leader spawn so that teamwork becomes ESSENTIAL.

If there's one thing we should be ashamed of (as a community) then it's the fact that guys like you call US liars instead of DICE.
  8. Zedap
:D They are letting you unlock the AUG, my personal favourite gun from BF:BC2 :)
  9. CptainCrunch
Oh, you misunderstand. Im not calling people that go by these quotes liars. What is happening is they are taking pieces of fact and holding on to them. Your example is one. DICE did say that. Then later the idea is dropped and was dropped before alpha. People dont update what they feel are facts and hold on to DICE saying this WILL/WITHOUT A DOUBT be in the game. Yet, its not.

I will give you another example with VoIP. Zhinto made a twitter post saying something like; "We are not promising anything. We hear you on the in-game VoIP. It is not off the table as an option and we are looking into it." That morphed into "You promised us VoIP and now you are liars!" DICE posted tweets and articles stating Battlelog is the VoIP for BF3. Thats it. People still say that DICE promised in-game voip, but they actually did no such thing.

I do give the sketchy marketing from EA/DICE some blame. The "true sequal" and "roots" comments left a lot for interpretation and I can't blame people for being upset that the BF2/2142 features are not in BF3. However, continuing to be upset because they are still not is a waste of those peoples time. The facts are that those items will not be in BF3. Maybe later, but as the facts show, they are not.

Nothing is wrong with my head, btw. That statement shows another fact about how people take things out of context. Voip is important for teamwork. Its a great tool that makes it a lot easier to do teamwork. I didnt say it wasnt though. I said the lack of the items I mentioned above made no difference in teamwork in BF3 than it did for me in BF2. When I played BF2 there was very little teamwork in the game until I joined a clan and then went on their TS server. Then teamwork knew no bounds then. They used teamspeak because the ingame voip sucked. It was spotty, choppy, hard to hear, and "pubbers" would mute us anyway or tell us to shut up. Pub teamwork was a joke, but sometimes people tried and we could get some things going. Same with BF3. I see clans or friends in a server and they decimate it with teamwork. I dont see them handicapped by anything DICE did.

Having tools for the potential of teamwork is important, but teamwork takes effort that most people are not willing to do. If you want teamwork bad enough in BF3, you are going to do it. Same in BF2. There is VoIP in BF3, but you have to use it and it takes a bit more effort for both sides to do it.

Having current facts vs previous facts that are no longer relevant also takes work and acceptance that its time for a new approach. We can make BF3 better, but we have to be realistic and come up with new ways to use the existing format and game the way it is.
