Some details regarding End Game are slowly peeping up on Battlelog/EA's backend website. End Game will feature 4 new "high speed" maps with 3 new vehicles to race across the Battlefield. The dirt bike, a new lightweight AA vehicle, & the dropship support that can drop vehicles straight on the maps.

    Check out the official description:

The initial teaser trailer for End Game is expected to drop this Friday, December 21st. Aftermath set a new bar for Battlefield expansions. Do you think End Game will live up to the hype?

    Sigh...

We still get no new guns as we were promised back at E3.

    Otherwise good list.

Sounds interesting! Dirt bikes sound awesome too! I wonder how CTF is going to be like. Hopefully DICE does a great job with this DLC like they did with Aftermath.

I wonder how the dirt bikes are going to be? Will you be able to fall down on the ground or?!

Everything seems to be good here and I love the fact that they will add a vehicle dropship, though i wonder if this is just a plane someone have to sit in and place the vehicles or if it is a plane someone has to fly and another person drops the vehicles. When it comes to the light weight AA I really hope it will be easy to destroy with a helicopter/jet because the AA vehicles already in the game seems to be a bit overpowered.

About the AA I agree. We will see.

Cue discussion about how you CAN'T carry the flag in CTF mode. Can't carry the flag on a motorcycle, can't carry the flag in a tank, can't carry the flag in a Jet, etc. It's all BS. As long as the game has "Rock For Scissors", you should be able to carry it in anything.

Sounds interesting. I really am having a hard time picturing what "fast paced combat" is. Excited to see the trailer to get a better idea of what we are talking about here. I think that Aftermath really highlighted the impact of map design, so hopefully whatever new mechanics and tools are introduced have some worthwhile spaces to try them out on.

CTF on other games has always been disappointing for me, so I am interested to see if DICE can make the mode worth playing. Unfortunately, I think that TS, GM, and SCV have shown us that these DLC specific modes don't have the most staying power.

Here is a big "YES!" for CTF. Now lets see if DICE can do it right. I will reiterate what I posted in the "Endgame Wishlist."

CTF should keep the CQ points from existing maps, and the flag should be at the uncapturable base. The CQ points are used as forward spawn bases. This gives a team more than just the flag as an objective, and makes MAP CONTROL just as important as FLAG CONTROL.

Flags cannot be carried in Tanks or IFVs. They can, however, be carried in light vehicles, like jeeps, humvees, and the new bike. One good shot, and these vehicles are destroyed anyway. Flags can never be carried through the air, and must remain on the ground.

Capture the flag will more than likely be exclusive to the End Game maps so don't expect to see it on Caspean Border or even Back to Karkand maps.

And with the second half of that it is mainly common sense. Though I don't see how involving vehicles other than the motorbikes being implemented let alone working out. A tank carrying a flag is almost guaranteed to make it back to the base. SMAWS/RPGs take a few rockets to disable a tank... Javelins are easily countered with smoke... And air vehicle attacked would be countered with an "escort" for the tank. C4 and mines seem to be the only way that would work, and mines are a long shot since you don't know the route the tank would take. And air vehicles... well attack choppers could be brought down easily now with the gunner flare long gone..

    finally CTF!
i wonder what real life counterparts the vehicles will have.

While I agree, from a logistical sense, that CTF will only be included with the End Game maps, I would hope that DICE would take some time and go back and rework gametypes for ALL maps. Seeing as End Game is the last DLC, DICE could easily unify BF3 across the board by allowing CQ DOM across Vanilla, B2K, CQ, AK, AM, and EG for example.

That would be really great, though I don't see it happening.
